My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting your beautiful country last October.  We would like to find out more information about our grandfather, Antonio "Mariano" DeMarinis, born in 1891 in Pretoro.  He had brothers, Rocco and Augusto.  He also had a sister who remained in Italy.  We would like to find a birth certificate so that we can find the names of his parents.

I will have the GREAT PLEASURE of visiting Pretoro in May.
I am not Italian but have friends in Ottawa that are from Pretoro and I will make a pilgrimage to there home in there honour.

Hi,
My wife Georgina and I stayed with Roy and Christina Freezer in their appartment at Casa Pretoro, in April 2008. We enjoyed our stay so much and thought the whole area so beautiful and unspoilt that we will be returning with our two youngest teenagers in July 2009, for two weeks.
We would highly recommend Aruzzo, particularly Pretoro and look forward to renewing some acquaintances, eating more good food and to meeting new friends.

I continue to get no help from the Comune di Pretoro, regarding my Grandmother's birth certificate.

This will help me trace the next level of ancestry for my family tree.

I wrote to the town hall about a month ago and received nothing in return.

Anyone with any suggestions, please pass them along.
